Step 3 Once any of your upload finishes you are given a link through which later on others will download that file. To remember make a list and save the links in the list so that you use it. (For your convenience use notepad, wordpad or ms word)

Step 4 Now post the links in active forums in the discussions relevant to your particular upload. You can email it to anybody you want or you can place it in your blog or website if any. There are uncountable spaces where you can post those links.

Step 5 Now monitor the progress through your account in that website. Every time somebody downloads anything from your link you generate some money. These websites offer money on a specific number of downloads made through your links. One more thing to note here is that greater the size of file more is the money. So try to to upload large space covering movies and softwares.

    What are the file extensions of videos filmed with an iPhone?
    A friend has a vid that was sent to him which was filmed with an iPhone. He can’t get it to open on his pc. What media player does he need? And can the vid be hosted on YouTube?

      Quicktime .mov format, H.264 video and AAC audio.

      The easiest way to post it to YouTube is to do it from the phone that captured it, but yes it can be posted there regardless via the upload web page. You don’t even have to convert it, youtube supports the H.264 vid and AAC audio compressors.

      What software he needs depends on the OS, but Quicktime should do it & VLC Player also (Windows and OS X for both, VLC for linux). Alternately you should be able to just find the codecs. Look for “h.264 codec” & “AAC codec”.

      If you upload it to YouTube though, software won’t be necessary for playback – unless your buddy doesn’t want to go to YouTube to watch it and wants to playback his own offline copy.

    Are there any free file hosts where I can upload pornographic images and videos that also allows hotlinking?
    I’ve found a few sites that allow hotlinking of adult images but they are image only sites. I’m looking for a site that I can also upload adult videos to. Any help?

    Years ago I hosted a bunch of files on a free hosting site that allowed you to upload images, videos, etc. on to it. however, I do not remember the web address for it. All I remember is that it had the word “Dump” in it …. something like file dump or similar to that. anyone know what site it could be ?

    Is it possible to upload videos to Facebook from other video hosting sites?
    Having routinely been uploading videos to YouTube, it’s a pain to have to do the same in Facebook. I don’t want to post links, or embed a youtube player in my wall. I want to be able to pull the file from YouTube into the native Facebook interface.

    Cant download from file hosting sites?
    As above,I have been trying to download videos from sites like megaupload or hotfile which often result in them noting that i have downloaded or am downloading a file which i clearly have not . Is there any way to fix this?

    I am using FireFox btw.
    When i click download the website simply say that i am downloading a file and prevents me from downloading due it’s download limitations.

    I have lost the file to a video I uploaded on youtube a while back. I want to upload it to flickr…how do I?
    What happened was, I accidentally deleted the file when I was doing some “spring cleaning” on my PC. I just want to recover that so I can upload the video to flickr, now that they host videos. I have tried some different things, as far as downloading the video and changing the file type, but nothing has worked. Thanks for any help or suggestions that may work that you can provide.

      Free web hosts usually have a very limited amount of storage space which will be insufficient because videos, files, mp3′s, and .avi’s take up a large volume of space.

      Even if you did find a free web host with unlimited space, it wouldn’t allow you to sell access to copyrighted stuff you download from Torrent.

    File Hosting Web server?
    I’m looking to purchase a service where I can remotely host private files (such as videos, games, etc) that’ll be available as storage only. Mostly incase of a computer crash, to shared with select friends, etc. Mainly private.

    Anyone recommend a good service for this that has a good interface? Please don’t recommend things like rapidshare, I don’t want single URL files or expiration dates or anything like that.

    Random Pixelation when watching videos on YouTube and other video hosting sites?
    Recently, I have been getting random black areas on the screen when I watch videos- only on the Internet. Although there is some minor pixelation of viewing anime (downloaded seperately) the problems instantly resolves within 5 seconds of the video file running. However Youtube videos seem to have certain black spots of pixels randomly appearing and some times there are white pixels appearing onto black backgrounds- for example RayWilliamJohnson’s title transistions. I have scanned my computer for viruses but none are found and I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with viruses anyway, I’m not a technical guy in terms of disassembling the PC so I need methods of fixing this via the computer itself- although this is a minor problem some videos seem to have half of the video literally chopped off with black pixels.

      Not enough ram, internet connection is too slow, or the cpu is not fast enough to process the video as it runs, or too many processes running in the background which adding more ram might help.
      See if you kill some processes running in the background that you don’t need running constantly.

    Free online file hosting and hot linking?
    I have a huge collection of photos, songs and videos that i want to upload onto a web server.
    I wish to then hot link these files to my blog.
    Could anyone suggest me some good web site that offer such hosting and hot linking features.
    The important features that i’m looking in them are :
    – Multiple uploads at the same time.
    – Links should displayed immediately for some selected list of files.
    – Easy user interface.
    – Easy multiple file deletion.

    I was using the BoxStr service earlier, but it closed down due to some reasons. Though they have come up with this OpenDrive system, its not as good as the previous BoxStr.
    Boxstr was the best hosting and hot linking website that i used. If anyone is aware of the features and interface that Boxstr provided, then consider that I am looking for exactly the same kind of a website.

    What is a good File Hosting Website?
    I need a file hosting solution that does NOT have just a download link, but a physical page where the file is stored. I can’t have just a download link. (The reason for this is because my website host does not allow for files over 200 kb. to be stored there, and all of the videos I use are like 4.00 MB. long. It is for my RSS and Atom feed.)

    What video hosting sites allow streaming playback in their native resolution, versus Youtube’s cruddy quality?
    Well, like the question asks, what are some video hosting sites which offer streaming playback (like YouTube), in their native resolutions (unlike YouTube)?

    You Tube has started to grow the wrong way on me. At first it was this “oh so great” video site. Now, I notice video after video at cruddy quality levels, making most of them even a waste of time to watch. For this reason, it would be apparent that a “better” hosting site will prevail through this Youtube age we are at.

    Let’s hear what you feel is the “best” currently. Remember, they must offer video streaming, not just a file hosting site.

    Is it possible for a filehost such as Rapidshare or Mediafire to change the name of my file after i upload it?
    I’ve uploaded several files to Rapidshare and Mediafire to share with my peers. These files are fragments of a whole video file which I’ve “chopped” using the program HJSPLIT. After downloading all the chunks, a friend told me that he couldn’t join the files even if he used the same software, HJSPLIT. Then another friend came to the rescue and informed us that the first names of the files were not identical which is a prerequisite so that HJSplit could successfully join them. But i’m not convinced because as far as i know webhosts do not work that way. So I’m asking you this guys, is it possible that these file hosting sites changed the names of my files for their benefit? This is the first time that I’ve encountered this problem so up to now I am still puzzled. Thanks in advance.

      I use RS all the time, and all my uploads are .rar archives. I’ve never had any problem with a name being changed before, but I’ve had quite a few get deleted for violating the TOS.

    I am unable to join a movie’s video file. Host’s instruction to use hjsplit software fails. What can I do?
    I have downloaded hjsplit and tried to join the seven avi files of a movie. But the joint reaches up to the folder, not to the files. Is there any other way to join them?

    Could someone provide me with details of a service that allows for private online video hosting that allows for private users to upload, download and view online videos.
    It must support the storage of multiple video file types, sizes and resolutions (including raw video for editing) without modifying the files (except for a seperate preview version of the file)
    it must have an inbuilt player for the preview of the videos.

    Is there a file hosting website that will take all file types, not just images and videos and such?
    I’ve already been to filefactory, File Qube, FileDen, and FileSavr and they are all the same. The file I’m trying to upload is .wdgt.
    None of the first two work, they black out all applications and widget.

    I have a large video file (800MB). It won’t fit on any of the free video hosting sites. What are my other opto
    It won’t fit on:
    Google (dowloaded but ended in a FAILED status)
    Youtube (100MB limit)
    MySpace (100 MB limit)
    Putfile (200MB limit)
    esnips only allows 50MB uploads.
    Its a collection of home movies and it would mean less if it was split up. It is also converted from 8MM so the quality is bad already. i don’t want to compress it and get even worse video. I am willing to pay for a service? Any ideas?

    File Hosting question?
    So i’m starting a business that is involved in the medical field. One of the services the business requires would be filming certain things and then giving a CD / DVD to the client. I was wondering if there was also a way I can host these on the internet. I know about filefront – but due to legal issues in this medical related field – the videos must be PRIVATE for each customer. In other words – they cant just click my name and then see videos for all my other customers in the past after they have watched their own video. Does anyone know how to make private file sharing? I guess I could get each customer to download AOL and send it directly? Or set up a new filefront account for each customer? Are there any better options?

      That’s a great challenge.

      Hmmm…

      Simply put, you could just buy some server space with a company like Freehostia or X10Hosting or Hostgator, and set up one of those Youtube-like video sharing sites on them. You just need to reconfigure the PHP or PL files to allow for tokenizing, which will enable your clients to view ONLY their videos and not anyone else’s.

      This is all intermediate level PHP and beginner level Perl. You don’t need to hire a programmer, just use the link I give you.

      If you do set it up, you will need to find a way to take payments. Most of the existing scripts are for free or open source websites, so they have this option not available. You can use SessionID() or POSIX to handle these. These extensions come preinstalled with most PHP and Perl standard distros.

      Paypal is a good place to take a payment, as is Egold, but you should try finding a way to use EasySSL or OpenPGP to wire the funds directly to your bank account. Both ways are good, but big companies prefer the latter for its speed, and smaller ones prefer the former for its ease of setup.

      Lastly, you should write all of what you have been suggested into a modified version of your business plan. If you have one, that is. If you don’t have a plan, you are in an urgent position to write one NOW. Otherwise you could mishandle your business and the income it receives.

    Is it possible to host a Flash Video File in a different directory than the page its going to be displayed on?
    I Have test.flv and the 2 swf’s for editing. can I put those in a video folder named vid and then reference it from index.html which is on the same level as the vid folder?

    Is there a Video/File hosting site that can upload a file over 150MB???
    I have 4 videos in all… 2 of which are small enough to be put on YouTube… but the other two are 165 and 172MB…

    I either need a serious uploading and/or file hosting site that can handle such a file… or a serious file compressing/converting site… cause they are in QuickTime format (and I honestly don’t like quicktime that much)…

    Even if I have to cut and edit to turn the single video into two parts… I don’t care… I really need to get this done ASAP… But sadly my Windows Movie Maker doesn’t work with the file type…

    Is there anything I can do…???

      Ask your ISP provider; Mine lets me use FTP (file transfer protocol) to transfer huge files.

    Question about video hosting and file sharing…?
    I want to share a home video with one of my email contacts. The video is 126,803 KB (about 12 minutes long) but it’s too large to attach in an email and I can’t find a video hosting site that allows that big of a file. I want to be able to control who watches it as well. Are there any FREE sites that will allow me to upload it and keep it private?

    Where else besides youtube,metacafe,etc can you host a video file ?
    I work for a real estate management company who made a small video to advertise a rental space. IT oringally hosted the youtube file on the company’s website, but no longer feels comfortable using youtube beacuse of its questionable content and feel it might be a legal liability.

    are there any other sites that are free and will allow me to post this video on our website and stream it, similar to youtube ?

    i know of guba,metacafe,revver,ifilm, anything less questionable ?

    or if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

    the file is coming at 100mb and it will probably kill the company’s website if was hosted internally..

    What premium file hosting service allows mp4 hotlinking (not embedded flash player, just an FTP type dump)?
    I’m trying to serve straight mp4 video links to my (non-flash) smart phone. It works perfectly using my personal FTP space, but that’s too small.; all I need is more space. Is there a pay hosting service that gives simple ftp / file space access so I can host my videos? They have a maximum file size of 100MB each (though I could make do with a 50MB limit by splitting them in half). Thanks in advance!
    You would think this would be a basic service of any paid webhost, but it seems most are limiting file sizes to 5MB, 1MB, or even less. Ironically, I don’t even need all the website stuff (php, mysql, etc), just a dump area for downloading via direct link.

    File hosting site, Uploading issue?
    I’ve been trying to upload a couple videos I made and upload them to a secure file hosting site, but every site that I’ve tried for all the videos have stopped at 37 percent or 50-something percent. or 67898763.15 minutes….??? What’s going on? I’m on a mac, I’m using goggle chrome, I’ve used firefox, and safari, nothing is working. Is it the videos? They’re all .mp4 files, the sites that I went on were: zshare, sendspace, rapid share, file savr, they all do the same thing. I even tried converting the videos to other formats, nothing works. Either it’s my uploading speed or what? Any help is appreciated.

    How do video hosting sites and file hosting sites avoid lawsuits?
    Hey all.

    Not too long ago I was considering building a video hosting site inspired by Youtube, but about 2 hours into the development (lol) I had second thoughts, as mentioned to me by a few peers, I could run into a few issues regarding copyright laws.

    This does beg to ask the question, how do those huge sites like Youtube, rapidshare, etc avoid lawsuits when they’re facilitating illegal viewing and / or downloading of copyrighted material?

      Because of the DMCA safe harbor clause. The precedent was established in the Viacom vs. YouTube case (look it up if it interests you). The hosting sites have to respond to DMCA notices but as long as they remove the content (assuming that it is infringing) then they are not liable for that content. If they do not remove it then a lawsuit will follow.

    If I’m going to have a site with large file downloads-should I get shared, VPS, reseller, or dedicated hosting?
    Basically, I’ll be having a site that will have around 5-6 large file video downloads….would shared hosting work for this?

      Shared hosting is fine. Get the cheapest thing you can find because downloading files takes no resources off the web server. Dedicated is where no other websites, except yours, is on the server. If you have complicated php or .asp web pages that use a lot of resources to process all the information, then the dedicated would be idea in this situation.

      You’ll want to research and see how much bandwidth (how many mb’s you’re allowed to send over the internet) and how much is costs if you go over.

      Unfortunately most free sites only let you upload HTML and images. If you link to an upload site like radidshare you’ll get a tally of how many people download your video. If you -do- find free webhosting that lets you upload videos (very rare), you can create an HTML page with a counter on it and embed the video in it, with a Save Target As link below it.

    What is a good video/file hosting website?
    Is there a good video/file hosting website like Rapidshare or the like that has these things:

    Files can be 500 mb or more
    You are given a direct link to the file (website.com/actualfile.flv)
    Link given will work in media players
    Video may or may not be encoded by the company

    I would like a site like this to help me stream videos to my site without slowing down my own site and using up my bandwidth. Thanks!
